Senior Planner - Permanent (Birmingham)
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our client’s team, working on a major Birmingham Station project. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the successful delivery of rail infrastructure, collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders.
- Location: Hybrid role – 2-3 days onsite.
- Contract Type: Permanent (preferred), but open to contractors.
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000, depending on experience.
Your Role:
As a senior planner, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing project programmes, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives.
- Reviewing and assessing contractor programme submissions in line with NEC requirements.
- Managing NEC change control processes, identifying risks, and implementing solutions.
- Overseeing monthly schedule reporting, ensuring clear and accurate project tracking.
- Supporting project teams with P6 expertise, ensuring schedules remain efficient and realistic.
- Communicating complex scheduling data in a clear, concise, and direct manner to various stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in rail project planning, ideally within station developments, civils, and M&E works.
- Expertise in Primavera P6, with the ability to analyse and optimise project schedules.
- Strong understanding of NEC contract frameworks and change control processes.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and assertive individual, capable of working independently and within teams.
